Its been over six months since I did any work on this website.  For those who are unaware, on 6/6/2009, Rae Shanti aka Amanda (Mandy) Jo Everhart/Palmer made a transition from this life to the "otherside camp".  She was apparently an undiagnosed diabetic and after a day of not eating much she drank a lot of water which lowered her potassium to heart stopping levels and she left her body.  She is survived by myself and our two children Izaya Ganesh Shanti(4) and Talula Rose Shanti (2).

As heart wrenching as this whole experience has been - I am joyful to be alive and continuing on in the work that Rae and I started - sharing prayer, ceremony, hugs, and our family around the country.  

Rae has not left us alone - she is still alive in spirit!  And in our hearts we may all connect with her and receive her counsel, guidance, and request she petition to the ancestors for support in our lives.  She has appeared to so many in dreams, visions, messages and signs.

I'm still not ready to share all of what has been happening, but know that I and the children are blessed and well and living a joyful life.  We are prayer pilgrims and we spend a lot of energy attending various prayer ceremonies around the country and soon to be world.  This work is the most important thing anyone can do for themself or the earth.  Start talking to Creator  - Mother/Father, by yourself and in circles of loved ones and ask for your healing and the healing of the earth.  If you want us to attend a ceremony you are having please let us know and we will come if we are able, and at least join you in spirit.  
I have prayed long and hard for peace, understanding, and support with the children during this transitional time.  I am so blessed and honored to be joined by a young woman who is selflessly giving her time and energy to being a nanny for the children.  Talula has named her "Lady".  She is a teacher, singer, poet, artist, healer, inspiration and super blessing to have in our lives.  Soon she will have a page on the website introducing her and sharing her heartsong so check back in soon to meet Lady Lux - and in the meantime send her some love and prayers for her selfless offering of service.

This is Sol Shanti.  On 6/6/09 Amanda Jo Everhart/Palmer AKA "Mama Rae Shanti"
had some bizarre type of heart stopping episode and was resucitated on the way to the hospital.  She was cooled for 24 hours to reduce brain swelling, but basically had already made her transition.  The time to spend praying with her body was a blessing to all of her family and at 10:15am on 6/8/09 after being rewarmed and tested for any sign of neurological function was declared dead.

Her passing is equally devastating as it is inspiring to all that knew and loved her.  In the spirit of the giveaway which Rae lived her life by,  we gifted her organs which she no longer needed to help save lives elsewhere.  We are grateful to know that many prayers will be answered in the form of organs which were donated.  A memorial service was held on Friday 6/12/09 at WEST END PARK near in her hometown of Crafton, PA in accordance with her wishes of no embalming, no viewing, no funeral - just a prayerful gathering of those who loved her in celebration of her life. I intend to hold ceremony as well throughout the year to celebrate her life.  Her body has been creamated and her ashes will be spread by family members and loved ones in sacred spaces, fires, and ceremonies around the country.

Rae has been my life partner for almost six years - of which we may have spent a total of less than 50-100 days apart.  Most people work jobs and have separate lives from their partners, but Rae and I were "prayer pilgrims" and we literally spent 24 hours a day together for months and years at a time as we traveled the country attending prayer ceremonies for peace.  I feel blessed to have spent more time with Rae in our six years together, than most couples get to spend with each other in a full lifetime.  Our children are a great comfort to me as I recognize her presence still with me in every aspect of their beings.  We shared a vision of living life in the moment of miracles and following the flow of Divine by following our hearts.  We acknowledged that there is no greater thing that we could do in this life than gather in prayer for the earth and her children.

I'm sure at somepoint I will have volumes more of our experience to share, but for now I just want to say thanks to her for living a life of service to God/dess LOVE.  Her simple example is a blessing of lifes wisdoms to those who were graced
by her presence.

I thank you our friends and family for all of your prayers and love for her and our family still in this plane.  I know she is now an overlighting angel to all those who loved her and that our work with her continues on deeper levels than were before possible.  I go so far to say that those who loved her now feel annointed by her spirit that has been released from her body to expand and embrace us all.

Why "Rae Shanti"? 
 
Amanda and I were praying and visioning one day and she had a sort of rebirth...  She didn't know where she was, or how she had come.  She remembered a wounded part of her soul escaping through a window in her consciousness and then her higher self replaced that aspect - a woman in crimson riding a red horse.  I asked her name and she said "Hazoreh" (she even spelled it)  I looked it up online and found it really was a word and that it meant "remembering Source"  The hippies at the rainbow gathering couldn't remember Hazoreh, or the name that Spirit had given me - Sowelu, so she abbreviated hers to Rae, and I switched to Sunshine...and later Sol.
 
While she labored with Izaya at the Rainbow Gathering of Living Light, Rae had written PEACE really big across her belly.  We didn't want to use our surnames for him, and wanted him to have a strong beautiful name that represented our shared heartsong.  Upon realizing that Shanti was a word for peace in both Tibetan culture and Hopi, we felt it was a perfect fit, and eventually took on the name for our whole family - only to find out later that the mysterious angel named Eartha who miraculously showed up to facilitate Izaya's birth, had also taken the last name of Shanti.
 
We both had very difficult times in parts of our lives. Our name changes were in order to shed outdated aspects of ego we no longer resonated with, and to embrace our rebirth as children of LOVE, committed to live a life of service to LOVE, in LOVE, by LOVE, through LOVE, so help us LOVE.
